Day 1 (Monday):
day 1 was practice for everyone from 10 till 3. my plan was to do as many runs as i could this day and to slowly cut back on the amount of runs each day. But that plan pretty much failed within 2-3 runs. I ended with pretty bad arm pump and was unable to hold the bars and brakes by the time i got to the first rock garden. So my plan for that day changed to taking it a bit slower and just trying to remember the track. By the end of the day i had a rough idea what was coming up as i went down the track, and had some rough line choices in my head. On this day i saw Sabrina and did a run with her down the track as one of my last runs. it was a pretty good run, and i tried to keep up with her, and ended up crashing off the second hip sorta jump in one of the fast open sections when i tried to clear it fully and ended up casing and getting bounced and losing control. I managed to get around the slight corner after it and off the drop afterwards, completely out of control, but didnt quite make it around the berm after the drop as i had to much speed and my front wheel went over the top of the berm towards the end. I only found out afterwards that even Sabrina doesnt clear that jump fully :/ . Sabrina also got me to do two jumps that i hadnt done yet, as i was yet unsure of speed nessacary to do them. the first one was a little jump of a slightly of cambre rock into one of the rock gardens. the second one was the drop at the end where you cross the 4x track. both were very easy to do. I think i ended up doing about 6-7 runs that day.
Day 2 (Tuesday):hospital day
This day i didnt even manage to do one run. I ended up going off one of the drops in the fast open section and hitting some random rock to the right of the landing nose heaving and crashing. Ended up winding myself and hurting my back. Medics wouldnt let me get up and get my breath back. Ended up having to get stretched off the track as a precaution and taken to hosiptal. The ride down the hill on the stretcher wasnt the nicest, it was slow, boring, and not very comfortable. The ambulance ride was pretty boring as well, but not as boring as waiting to be seen at the hosiptal.

Day 3 (Wednesday):
This day i took it very easy, and just cruised down the track. I was pretty sore from yesterday. Back didnt end up being the problem, it more stiff and sore neck and shoulders than anything. I think i ended up just doing 2 runs. this day was more about just making it down the track, and getting my confidence back up for qualifying the next day.
Day 4 (Thursday): Qualifying/Timed Practice
I did 2 or 3 before we went and got sorted for our timed practiced runs. I wasnt feeling to confident as i wasnt really doing anything of the jumps on the track or going very fast through any of the rockgardens and was still finding it hard to do full runs without getting arm pump or crashing. My goal for this run was to just get down without crashing and making too many mistakes. I was first one down as i was the lowest ranked rider in my group. I managed to stay on for my run and was happy with how it went. Ended up getting 4th for timed practice, the charlotte and maddy took 5th and 6th. cant remember who got what.
Day 5 (Friday):
Today was just more practice with different weather. The weather turned not so good, slightly rainy, cold and quite foggy especially up the top. You were lucky if you see 10m ahead of you up the top at one point. I pretty much just did what i did every other practice day, except i stopped and watched a few sections for a bit and tried to talk myself into hitting the 1st hip sorta jump up the top. Failed at doing it, but started pushing myself more in the rockgardens and trying some slightly different lines.
Day 6 (Saturday):
Today was the final practice day. I ended up getting up the gutts to do the 1st hip sorta jump. i only did it slowly once or twice tho. Runs were feeling like they had the past couple of days. Was still trying to push myself, but now being a bit more causious. Was looking forward to Race runs the next day.
Day 7 (Sunday):Race Day
Today was like the rest of the days really, except it was a bit windy in the fast open sections and you could feel it pushing you on the two hip sorta jumps. I think i did about 2 or 3 practice runs in the morning, i was feeling pretty good coming into my race run. Like the timed practice runs i was the first one down out of everyone as the order was still the same. I decided that for my race run since we only get one, i was going to be careful, and just focus on trying to go as fast i could but be on the safe side and take it easy. I ended up crashing twice for not really any reason, i dont know what went wrong, but it happened and i was gutted. I ended up 5th place and got the fastest speed for the junior women.
